A Hartington resident is celebrating 30 years of hosting coffee mornings in the village in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Bel Kerr organised an event as part of the charity’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 25 September alongside students from the village school and local residents. £470 was raised through cake sales, donations and a bric-a-brac stall.
Member of the school’s Governors, Liz Broomhead MBE added: “It was a fantastic event; I would like to thank everyone in our little community for coming out to support such a worthy cause.”
