I’m Reverend Adele Barker and Priest-in-Charge of St Giles Church in Hartington. Hartington is part of the White Peak Benefice (along with Monyash, Biggin, Earl Sterndale , Taddington and Chelmorton) and I am also responsible for leading the Youlgrave Benefice of churches.
My family and I moved up to the Peak District in May 2022 from Kent and now feel very much at home. Ministry across the Peak District is very rich and very varied with many exciting opportunities. I have particularly enjoyed getting to know the staff and children of the Church of England Schools in the parishes across the area.
