Admissions Policy 2023/24
Admissions criteria
Individual pupils who have an Education Health Care Plan which name the school will be admitted.
The admission level set for this school is 8 pupils per year.
The school welcomes visits from prospective parents. Please contact the school and a member of staff will be pleased to help you make an appointment.
The school encourages total integration. Where children with special needs are to be admitted, consultation will take place with the parents, the LA, the Educational Psychologist and any other relevant parties.
New starters will be invited to come to school for a minimum of 2 sessions towards the end of the term prior to their start date. Parents will have an opportunity to raise issues with the Infant teacher and to talk through concerns they or the child may have about starting school. It is also an opportunity for the Infant teacher to set out their expectations for new starters.
Changing school at other times
If you would like your child to change schools other than when they are due to start primary, junior or secondary education please follow the link at the top of this page to the DCC Admissions page where you can find further information on the process.
If you live outside of Derbyshire you should apply through your home council even if you want to apply for a place at a Derbyshire school.
