Ellie writes: On Friday the 22nd January we held a presentation for the British Heart Foundation swim that we participated in on Saturday the 10th of October at the Arc Swimming Pool in Matlock.
After the swim we had a little party with scrumptious food. This was made by Mrs Mellor and Mrs Wager. Some of the food we ate included tasty sandwiches, crisp, sausage rolls and lots of other things too.
We raised an amazing amount of money which totaled £1567.00! We won a wooden shield for raising the most money, this was the fifth consecutive time we had won the shield. It was a massive achievement for our school because we are only small. No doubt next year other schools will want to compete and knock us off the top spot and gain the shield for themselves!
Mr Dean and Sophie Jardine from the British Heart Foundation came and presented the shield to the school in front of parents, governors and members of the village community. Everyone was very proud of this brilliant achievement and we are looking forward to defending our title next year!
