On a very cold, crisp evening (Wednesday 14th December) the children performed their first Nativity, In St Giles Church, for two years due to the pandemic. The Nativity was called ‘The Amazing Story’ and included all the usual characters Mary, Joseph, Gabriel, Angels, Kings, Shepherds, Innkeepers and animals from the stable, not forgetting the Narrators who told the story amongst singing lots of songs. The church was packed to the rafters with Mum’s, Dad’s, Grandmas, Grandads, Aunts, Uncles, governors and Community members. Following the performance the audience were extremely complimentary about the performance. One member quoted “That’s one of the best things I’ve seen. It was so much better than the shows on the television. The singing was beautiful and I could hear every word the narrators said”.
The Nativity was followed by a Pea and Pie supper in school, organised by the PTA, with lots of delicious cakes kindly provided by parents. The grand Christmas draw took place with a total of 50 prizes donated by local businesses and friends of the school. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who donated prizes for the raffle, and attended our Christmas event. In the raffle alone we raised a total of £761.00
Thankyou to everyone who contributed to help make this evening so special and truly …
AMAZING!
We Raised a grand total of £1522.62 (after expenses) for the PTA and school.
