The Celebration Worship before the Easter holidays was full of “Eggstra” special surprises for the children and visitors to the school. The day began with an Easter Worship full of traditional hymns, the children’s own poems telling the story of Jesus’ final days and a dance presentation. This was received by parents and the community with admiration and praise.
It was also very special for a member of the governing body when he presented the British Heart Foundation Shield to the children for their outstanding achievement in the swimathon earlier in the school year. It was with immense pride that the school received this shield for the seventh consecutive year running for raising the most funds for this charity which was a hefty £2003.50 and a great achievement!
As tradition dictates on the final day of term the school hosted Community lunch to families and friends of the school and enjoyed yet again a delicious meal prepared by the resident cook.
This was followed by Easter Bingo and a much anticipated visit by the Easter Bunny who left “little droppings” all over the school! The Easter Bunny expressed his thanks to the PTA for their help and support.
