Following the planting of a commemorative tree to mark King Charles 111 Coronation, a plaque has been produced and put up to remind everyone of what the tree represents. One of the year two pupils sadly missed the planting of the rowan tree so relished the opportunity to take responsibility for its care and he organises his friends daily about its watering and care. He even placed a rabbit deterrent around its trunk to prevent the bark being nibbled away! The purchase and planting of the tree was undertaken by a community member and friend of the school Phillip Neal. It is hopeful in the future that its berries will become part of the traditional dressing of the school well.
Our King and Queen from the mock coronation also helped to plant a rowan tree in the village as part of the commemoration of the crowning of King Charles 111.
