On Friday 15th September the whole school went to Hartington Station to meet Julia Gow from the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. From there we walked to Hartington Meadows where we were introduced to lots of varieties of wild flowers. The children then carefully collected different seeds to be dried and planted into wild flower tubs at school. Luckily the weather held off after a very wet few days and the children got chance to run around the meadows before returning to school.
The seeds gathered included: Knap weed, Wild thyme, Birds foot trefold, Greater Burnet, Zig Zag Clover and many more.
