Scarecrow competition

As part of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations the village held a scarecrow competition of Kings and Queens through the ages.

The school decided to portray the present Queen Elizabeth 11. Unfortunately we didn’t win the competition but its the taking part that matters not the winning and we had fun making her.

Congratulations to the winners Mrs Clayton and her granddaughter,  who portrayed the Queen in her casual status wearing a head scarf and Barbour with her beloved corgis. Congratulations also to the runner ups and a special well done to two pupils in the school who were third in the competition with their entry of the beheading of Anne Boleyn, Henry V111’s unlucky 2nd wife!
