Celebration and Worship

On Friday the 3rd November the whole school gathered together with members of the community, parents and governors in church to celebrate our achievements during the previous term.

The service was led by the children themselves and began with a congregational hymn – All Things Bright and Beautiful – accompanied by the community organist Mrs Bell Kerr.

The children proudly showed a selection of their outstanding art work including sparkly bonfire pictures from the Foundation Stage children, Scandinavian robins from class 1 and Tudor portraits from class 2.

The highly anticipated awarding of the house points and stars of the week immediately followed. This culminated in the identification of the week’s winning house team by Mrs Wildgoose.

This was followed by a range of sporting awards and certificates being presented to individual pupils by Mrs E.Broomhead MBE.

The worship was concluded with a performance by the children of the song ‘Well Done’ before returning to school where parents and friends of the school joined us for Community Lunch.
