27th June 2016 – IMG_8500Local Waller – Trevor Wragg, who is a frequent visitor to the school came to teach the children the traditional skill of dry stone walling. The children worked together under the expert guidance of Trevor to carefully construct walls in the shapes of a one, five and zero as part of the schools 150th Anniversary celebration. This was displayed at the front of the school.
Josh Wright said “It was easier than I thought it would be, but it was difficult trying to fit the stones on top of each other to make the wall so they didn’t fall off. Trevor said it was important to get the foundations correct, but I still thought it was hard trying to keep the shape of the zero”
