The PTA held a Christmas Market in Hartington Village Hall on Sunday 3rd December to raise funds. The event ran from 11am to 4pm and was attended by Santa.
The event raised a staggering £893.86 on the day. After expenses of village hall rent and refreshments the total was £632.37.
The stalls included cheese, hand made jewellery, cards, knitted items, crafts and lots more. The children ran a chocolate tombola and PTA parents provided refreshments.
To raise awareness of the event the children sang and handed out flyers to visitors, they also took a ‘COW’ to the bus stop, which caused a bit of a stir in the center of the village. Santa on his way up to the Village Hall stopped and had his photograph taken with the ‘COW’.
Rudolph beware you might have competition from the Hartington Cow for guiding Santa’s sleigh!
