On Wednesday 14th December we performed ‘The Nativity’ to a packed audience in St Giles Church Hartington. The children did their own rendition of this famous tradition bible story. This included modern songs and contemporary Christmas classics.
The village community thoroughly enjoyed the performance and looking at the children’s display of ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland’.
The production was followed by a Pea & Pie Supper, organised by the PTFA at school.
A Christmas raffle was held with a 1st prize of a luxury hamper -kindly donated by a village resident. Lots of other prizes were up for grabs also. An auction was held for some of the items donated and a secret bid. Their was a chocolate tombola, guess the weight of the Christmas cake and Pick the Christmas Tree bauble! All proceeds will go to help the PTFA fund resources/events for the school children.
Thank you to everyone who helped and supported the evening, also thank you to everyone who donated prizes.
On Friday 16th December the village community and children will enjoy their Christmas lunch.
Monday 19th December the children will make a visit to Buxton Opera House for the pantomime “Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs” and ice-creams funded by the PTFA.
