Friday 31st March, last day of term before the Easter break, was a day full of Easter happiness and excitement.
In the morning the class one children visited St Giles Church to complete the Spring display. This consisted of the whole school working together to make their Easter Garden and displaying work around spring scene creators, Prayers, individual representations of Holy Week.
After lunch the Easter Bunny visited school and left lots of Easter eggs for the children to find. The afternoon culminated with an Easter Service, where parents and governors were invited. The service, written using the Roots and Fruits, Creative Collective Worship book, was all about how Jesus sacrificed his life on Good Friday and was resurrected on Easter Sunday. The children’s was warmly received by all who attended and comments were made again by the audience as to how wonderful it was that the school could deliver face to face services again.
