On Tuesday 20th September 5 local schools came together at Biggin School for the ‘5 Dales Sports Day’. This year the participating schools were Parwich, Monyash, Earl Sterndale, Biggin and our selves. Previous pupils and parents might remember this as either 3 or 4 Dales Sports Day, but what ever its title the event was enjoyed by all who took part. A special mention must be made to Biggin School who have always been the host of this event.
The races included ‘Pick up Beanbag’, Egg & spoon, Sack race, skipping, relay, corner sprite and many more. The children all enjoyed the afternoon and the sun actually shone. Many of the children following this event, have begun to work on developing their skipping skills, so look out everyone! This was also great way for schools with small cohorts to integrate and get to know each other.
