From Small Seeds Grow …

As is tradition during the first week of the autumn term  the children took part in the dressing of the school Well under the supervision of Mrs J Oliver and Mrs F Parsons who are members of the local village. The theme of the Well was linked to work undertaken during the previous academic year with the community.

The Head teacher quoted ‘Every year the Well just seems to get better and I am not sure who it can be improved on for the following year. These old traditions are so important and worth while. They encouraging the children to be proud of their heritage and the important position they hold within the locality.’

One of the younger children when asked what did they like most about the Well replied ‘I like the sticky out bit, it makes the Well look real, so I can pick them when I am out in the field at the back of my farm.’
