The children of Hartington School have a gardening club. This is run by Mrs Liz Broomhead MBE our Vice Chair of governors and Mrs Janet Bray from the local community. They grow plants from seeds, learn how to care for them, plant them out in the village boxes, tend to them during the season, grow beans and strawberries that they can eat in school.
